What:

The Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Art Museum project revolved around the issue of adding a modern extension to a heritage significant building. The programme entailed an extension to the gallery space as well as the storage, an out door gallery space, an addition of a library, two workshops, computer facilities, and new offices.  My approach was to continue its existing features in a modern way, making it seem as if it was not originally, but yet still appears to be apart of.  Below you will find the presentation panels of my design.

The existing Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Art Museum is situated in Park Drive and forms part of the St. George's Park, home to the St. George's Cricket stadium.
